Tartine is the French version of an open-faced sandwich. These can be served whole with soup & salad or passed to guests as appetizers, sliced into diagonal, bite-sized wedges. The combinations to be used are endless (pesto, ripe tomato & Arugula drizzled with excellent olive oil & cracked black pepper or cured, sliced salmon with lemon juice & dill Crème Fraiche). Here is my favorite!
